It's been 18 years since Shahrukh Khan and Kajol kept audiences on the edge of their seats in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ) but their interest still seems to be far from over. After 18 years of its release in India, the film is now getting ready for its release in Peru country shortly.

Reporting about this, Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "18 years after its release in India and intl markets, Aditya Chopra's SRK-Kajol starrer #DDLJ to release in Peru shortly."

Directed by Aditya Chopra, the 1995-release DDLJ is the longest-running film ever. Be it Shahrukh’s Chennai Express or be it Ranbir’s Besharam, many contemporary Bollywood films still use the dialogues from ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ – such is the impact of this romantic-comedy genre, DDLJ.
