The young generation heroes of Tamil Cinema are religiously following the trend set by their predecessors Rajnikanth and Kamal Hasan that of setting fan base in Telugu Film Industry. Amidst the range of Tamil heroes who have their fan bases in Tollywood, the noted star Suriya has a special place. Over the years, he carved a niche of his own by choosing unique scripts and coming up with different characters. That is why the Tamil Thambis call him Nadippin Nayagan (leader of acting).
Now, after a brief gap, Suriya is back with a new movie Anjaan in Tamil and its dubbed version in Telugu is Sikandar. The film is scheduled for a release on August 15th, noted producer Lagadapati Sridhar had bought the dubbed rights and presenting under his home banner Ramalaxmi Creations.
Incidentally, this is the first time that Lagadapati Sridhar is releasing a dubbed flick and that too of such high range. Lucky mascot Samantha is paired with Suriya for the first time in this movie directed by Lingusamy who is known for his fast paced action entertainers. With the chances of Jr NTR’s Rabhasa not arriving around that time, the Tollywood Pundits are predicting Sikandar will cash at the box office.
