Sudhir Babu is one of the young upcoming actors who has made his presence felt with a Horror Comedy blockbuster Prema Kadha Chitram from Maruthi’s production house. He is known for his cool acting persona and some fun dance movements as well. This level headed star is celebrating his birthday today and here is an iQlik exclusive chitchat with the actor:

Hello Sudhir.. many happy returns of the day!
Hi.. Thanks a lot!

What is special for this Birthday?
I did two contrasting films Krishnamma Kalipindhi Iddarini and Mosagallaku Mosagadu which are all set to release. I am quite proud of doing two such great films.

There is a buzz coming up that Mosagallaku Mosagadu has resemblances with the hit film Swamy Raa Raa?
Both belong to same genre but they are entirely different films. They are into different treatment and Mosagallaku Mosagadu is a commercial film.

What are the highlights of Mosagallaki Mosagadu according to you?
I think the most fetching point of this film is the treatment itself.

Was it coincidence or with a reason for which your film is named after your father in law Superstar Krishna’s commercial hit Mosagallaki Mosagadu?
No.. the title is apt for this film and the storyline. Just like Krishna garu’s role in the earlier film, the hero in this has various smart traits. Moreover, I have the blessing of Krishna garu and it is a double bonus for me!

Do you take special care for dance movements for songs?
I never practiced dancing since my childhood. Hrithik Roshan’s dances I used to imiate from Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Mission Kashmir that’s it.

What are the crucial things which you learnt from your father in law Krishna and brother in law Mahesh Babu?
Well from Krishna garu I learnt about Discipline. He is quite time bound professionally and personally. He treats family quite well and takes care of them. Even the little tasks at home are done by him with great attention to detail.
From Mahesh on the other hand, it is the energy levels and preparation he does for each shot.  I like this quite very much.

What are the various aspects you and Mahesh discuss in particular?
Earlier, it was about fitness and rigorous discussions on it. Now, I speak about films and tips on how to choose my characters.

You said in one of your previous interviews that the film choosing strategy you do is adapted from Mahesh. How much of it is true?
Initially, I used to plan about which sort of roles to accept and even Mahesh was in the same way. But later, Mahesh decided to take the best of what roles he has in hand. I am also following the same path and found it quite effective. I don’t want to confine to one sort of characters in my acting career.

How is your dream project of Pullela Gopichand’s Biopic coming up?
It is still on cards. I want to work it out at any cost. But time should come and good director should be there for such challenging project.

But making a Biopic is quite difficult in Telugu as there are lot of issues like market availability and logistics.
Definitely. Unfortunately we never had many biopic films as they are quite tedious. But I want to make  it for sure when things fall in place.

Do you have any regrets in acting career?
No.  I took everything as a learning curve. Such faults made me realize about myself. There are various reasons for a film to flop but I did give my best for each and every film I worked till date.

You did mention about your misgivings in making remakes earlier but Krishnamma Kalipindhi Iddarini is a remake. What made you sign in for it?
According to me, Krishnamma Kalipindhi Iddarini isn’t a remake. Before signing I didn’t watch the original and treated it like a fresh script. I really liked it and it is indeed a great story. I am sure Telugu Audience will receive it well.

There is a talk in the film fraternity that the film’s promotions are not going great for Krishnamma Kalipindhi Iddarini?
Not really. Release of a film is more crucial and it decides the fate of it. We are planning to release Krishnamma Kalipindhi Iddarini on the same day in which Prema Kadha Chitram was released. Mosagallaku Mosagadu will be releasing in all probability by May ending.

You were a badminton player earlier but now a full time actor. What inspired you to get into films?
I still love badminton dearly but goals change eventually in life. I always liked films and acting in it and that’s why I am here as an actor.

Does this mean you would go back to badminton in the near future?
No. I don’t have such plans. It is a great sport but I would prefer expressing my passion towards it by making a biopic on Pullela Gopichand.

How do you celebrate birthdays usually?
I am not into celebrating birthdays. I am sure religious by going to temple during birthday but don’t believe in huge celebrations. I am more confined to my family and my own world. I have some shoots on my birthday so it’s just another day.

Any memorable gift this birthday from your family?
I share my birthday with my younger son and I am feeling quite happy for it. My wife is always giving me some gifts or other every time and hence birthday itself isn’t a special occasion!

Upcoming projects?
Krishnamma Kalipindhi Iddarini is ready for release. I am doing an untitled project and will share the details of it soon.

Okay..Thank you and have a great day!
Thanks a lot!
