Though many film titles are easy to understand and guess, sometimes it really tests your grey cells as to why that name has been given. This was happening with the movie Shankarabharanam as many wanted to understand why that classic title was kept.

So, here is the interesting history behind it. There is a place in Rajahmundry called Shankarabharanam Meda (terrace). The film is the brainchild of star writer Kona Venkat who is from Rajahmundry. As such, this story revolves around a building.

In the process of thinking what name should be given Kona reportedly thought it looked like Shankarabharanam Meda and he kept that title. That way, the entire title registration happened like an organic process. The film is hitting the screens on December 4..
