There must be those among you who are aspiring to become directors and you must be under the impression that all it takes is one hit to get into the orbit. But that is not so. As a director, you need to deliver hits constantly and it can take just one flop to wipe out your past credentials.
Perhaps the best example to quote is that of Steven Shankar, the director of the movie Hrudaya Kaleyam. This became a cult hit owing to its spoof value and gave an interesting actor Sampoornesh Babu to the industry. But it appears that life has not been fair for Steven Shankar after this success.
Apparently, Steven wrote four scripts till now and among them, three were appreciated by producers. But before the shooting could commence, other movies came with the same storyline and those three became super hits. So, Steven reportedly pinned his hopes on the 4th script. But news is that a film was made in other language with the same storyline and now efforts are on to buy the Telugu remake rights. So, Steven is now left with zero scripts. Hard luck!
