The versatile filmmaker Mani Ratnam is an undisputed pride of not only South Indian Cinema but also Indian Cinema. His films have a creative fervor with great characterizations which are close to real life. Mani always comes up with unique subjects which range from patriotic films, biographies and love stories as well. He also has a knack of drawing a beautiful analogy to mythological characters to his films which are based on modern backdrop.
Mani Ratnam recently attended the International Film Festival in Bengaluru and was posed a very interesting question. One Rajnikanth fan asked Mani whether he is interested to make the biography film of the star. Mani Ratnam replied that while the idea of making Biography of Superstar as a film is quite good, such an actor who would suit Rajni’s antics is difficult to get.
The humble director also said that he cannot direct such a film because it is like a dangerous ball game. Mani already worked with Rajnikanth for the epic political drama Dalapathi which was etched in the lines of Karna and Kunthi’s relationship from Mahabharata. If a great director like Mani Ratnam is also wary about making a challenging biography, which director would come forward?
