There was a time when competition was all in the departments of heroes, heroines, music directors but not in the lyricists. There were few big guns like Veturi, Sirivennela, Dr C Narayana Reddy and the rest were not much into the race. But today the scene is entirely different.
The number of talented lyricists has risen stupendously and it has become a tight segment. So, achieving a top spot in this situation is something commendable. A recent report has revealed that the top lyricist of the season is none other than Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar.
He has been part of many chartbusters in Tollywood and today, eight out of ten movies ensure they have at least one or two songs penned by Bhaskarabhatla. As it is, he is the authorized lyricist for all films of speed director Puri Jagannadh. Known for his ability to mix poetry with contemporary feel, Bhaskarabhatla has proved his mettle.
