The film industry has the habit of latching onto one concept which scores a hit and it comes with a flurry of movies in that same template. This is followed even in the big Bollywood and currently the Mumbai circuit is checking out all possible real life tales of individuals and make them as biopics.
While that is an intriguing subject indeed, fact remains that it is not certain it will work well at the box office. There are those instances wherein even if it is interesting it may not really connect to the figures and collections. Hence, it is important to treat a biopic movie like a regular commercial venture.
The latest example for that is the movie Sarbjit featuring the raw hunk Randeep Hooda along with the gorgeous green eyed beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film got rave accolades but that didn’t get converted into collections. It has made a business of 50 crores which is too less for Bollywood range.
