Manamantha is an upcoming drama film starring Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal and Gautami in lead roles. The film is directed by versatile Chandrasekhar Yeleti. Music for the film is composed by Mahesh Shankar and here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The breezy album begins with Manamantha, a lovely melody sung by the extremely talented Haricharan which speaks of the unity of World and how to make things happen with togetherness. Thought provoking lyrics,  riveting guitar and breathtaking interludes make this a downright winner!

Butta Bomma is a funky number sung by Hemachandra and ably supported by folksy flute, electric guitar and amazing string section. The song has an interesting bridge between rustic folk and modern classic rock ballad. A thoroughly enjoyable fare! The song progresses with fresh confidence and refreshing optimism throughout.

The album zooms in with new found confidence in the form of Aasalalo with trance like beats and hopeful lyrics. Sung confidently by Daminibhatla CH of Paccha Bottesina – Baahubali fame, the song breathes fresh air in every respect. The song speaks of hope, challenges and adventures which come in the way of every person’s life- in the so called musical fashion.

An inquisitive touch occurs with Kanneerula which speaks on the sudden challenges but at the same time giving a new ray of hope.  A new singer Vidhu Pratap does complete justice to this song with his fresh vocals and brilliant Telugu diction. The mild trance touches are perfectly balanced with riveting string section.

The finale occurs in grand fashion with a timely song Tik Tik in jazzy manner.  Sriya Madhuri’s unpretentious lyrics are perfectly synced with jazzy piano, live drumming and acoustic guitar. The impressive chord progression is another highlight of this number. Watch out for the Flamenco guitar solo in the interlude!

Manamantha is a brilliant album which speaks of hope, adventure, optimism and redefines the way off beat albums should be presented!
