Bollywood Director Gets Jail in Rape Case

Maintaining a clean reputation off the showbiz arena is quite a challenging task for any filmmaker.

One such filmmaker who got into trouble with a rape case is none other than Mohammad Farookhi who worked as an assistant director for critically acclaimed Bollywood flick Peepli Live. He was alleged for raping an American woman on March 28th 2015 and the crime has been proved in court. He was sentenced for 7 years in Jail and also has been charged a fine of Rs. 50,000/- for this mishap.

This American woman approached the director to discuss on historic references for her PhD work in Columbia University. The director developed rapport with her and invited her for a party in his Delhi residence where this incident happened.
