You know very well that publicity plays a key role for a film’s success and the result can be otherwise if the publicity is negative. There are those times when few groups tend to spread that negative message about a movie for their own reasons.
Something like that happened for the recent release Manamantha featuring the Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. Some were saying this would become like Kabali and it would not work at the box office. This got many wondering as to who is propagating it like this.
Well, it turns out that some people in media did that. They had their own opinion about the movie but they revealed it as inside report. However, they got a tight slap on the face with the film becoming a big hit. That way, sometimes the negative publicity results in audience gaining more curiosity and watching the movie.
