Monica Ghurde (39), a popular Goa based perfumer and wife of Cinematographer Bharath Ramamrutham was reportedly found dead in her rented apartment in Sangolda village nearby Calangute beach, Goa.
Going into the details, this incident came into light after her maid informed the local police after her futile efforts to open the door in the morning. Once the police broke open into her flat, they found a naked body (claimed to be of Monica) lying on the bed with her hands & legs tied up. The subsequent Autopsy report states that she died of suffocation as somebody allegedly forced a pillow on her face to murder her.
Monica is a reputed perfumer in India & US as well with her own collection of perfumes. She was married to cinematographer Bharath and is a resident of Goa since 2011 but from the past one year she has been living separately. Police suspect the role of people who knew her daily routine behind the murder.
