You are called as the captain of the ship when you become a director because you have to handle the 24 crafts responsible for the making of a cinema. On the other hand, you also become answerable and responsible for the subject you choose to make the film.
Lately, the religious sensitivity and intolerance is being taken to bad advantage by many groups and they just need a lame excuse to grab publicity. In this process, it is the film folks who become the scapegoats. This time it is the turn of one celebrated filmmaker.
He is none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This colorful filmmaker from Bollywood was slapped and his hair was pulled by protestors of Rajput Karni Sena. All this happened at the famous Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur. Bhansali was shooting for his film Padmavati based on the life of the Rajput queen Padmavati.
Reports reveal the protestors alleged the queen was being shown in poor light and they decided to stall the shooting. The equipment was also smashed. It is heard that Bhansali has assured he will not be shooting at that location again.
