When you are making a film you must be ready to shell out quite a sum for the publicity because without that, all your efforts will go in vain. In places like Bollywood, if the making cost of a film is 5 crores, the publicity cost is nearly 8 to 9 crores.
Given a situation like that, a big budget flick should cost quite a bit. However, it is heard that the magnum opus Baahubali 2 has not spent a penny on its promotion. Reliable sources reveal the film has already done a business of 440 crores.
Despite that there is no expenditure on paper publicity or TV publicity. The TV channels have voluntarily catered two hours per day doing free publicity. The film is releasing in 1500 theatres plus in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. About 50 multiplexes are also filled with this movie so nearly 6500 plus shows are being screened. This means a minimum of 40 crores opening is guaranteed.
