There is a lot of appreciation and adulation pouring over the movie ‘Mahanati’ and its makers. From their end, the team is also doing their bit of promotion and publicity to get more mileage. However, it appears they are doing one obvious mistake. At least this is the opinion being expressed by few cinema intellectuals.

They say “When they have made a movie on Savitri, they need to come up with a special screening for the seniors. For instance, one of the assistant directors for ‘Mooga Manasulu’ is K Viswanath sir. Similarly, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao sir who has worked with Savitri in many projects was shown just on surface but no real depth.”

They added “Savitri’s main co-star is Jamuna , there is no mention of her anywhere nor was she consulted for story. Apart from them, there are still few people who have worked with Savitri. If they are taken into consideration and a special screening is held, the value would be great. It would also work for the publicity as well.” Let us wish they do it now atleast.
