Among the many aspects of content, creation is the most critical and challenging. Though there is an abundance of talent, it is imperative that content creators get their due recognition. In this regard, the Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS) has been coming up with proper guidelines which are beneficial to the songwriters and music composers.
Apparently, they have come up with a new rule which is adding new income to these folks. According to that, those lyricists who have written more than 50 songs will get Rs 50000 cheque and those who wrote below that will get Rs 10000 cheque. IPRS has reportedly sent this new circular to all music directors and lyricists.
So, whenever the songs are played as part of the movies or individually on television, the amount is given to IPRS. Due to this, they had consolidated a whopping 13 crores. As such, thousands of lyricists and music directors are there across India so it how much should eat get was a challenge. Hence, they adopted the socialism concept and have divided equally. All of them got cheques and are very happy.
