From normal commercial movies to content-driven movies, we have seen all kinds of movies and genres in Telugu. Tollywood has become more lenient towards content-driven movies. With Mahanti, it is evident that the biographical genre movies also can be pulled off with ease.

Though Mahanati touched the hearts of all the Telugu audience, there are some controversies too. There are talks that the makers have shown some other persons in the biopic in a dim light than in the factual angle. To highlight Savitri, it seems that the creative liberty has gone way too far.

Savitri was shown in a way that she was cheated by Gemini Ganeshan, rather than portraying her choice of life. Also, some negatives from Savitri's side were not even mentioned or hinted anywhere. Some normal audience is feeling that the biopics are just cinematic glorification of actors' lives.

This might be the case in the upcoming biographical movies too. Specific facts are being exaggerated and some other facts are not even mentioned. After all, movies are to entertain, so to expect the real facts to be shown is not a wise thing too. Anyways, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and YS Rajasekhar Reddy's biopics are currently being made. Let us wait and see how the makers will present the facts.
