We are aware of the firings in Tuticorin (Thoothukudi). Vijay, who is deeply touched by the tragic incident, visited the Sterlite plant protest victims' families in Thoothukudi last night. He also handed over Rs 1 lakh to each family who lost their family members to the shootings.

Vijay spent quality time with the victim families and extended his condolences. He visited the residences of the victims and grieved the killings. Earlier, superstar Rajinikanth visited general hospital in Thoothukudi. Even Kamal Hassan had visited the victims at the hospital earlier.
