With the genre of biopic working well at the box office the Indian cinema is currently going through a phase where record number of biopics are being announced and made. As part of that, the industry folks are on the lookout for real life stories which can be made as a biopic and as expected, it is all about underdogs becoming successful individuals.

The latest in that list happens to be the story of Hima Das. Till few days back nobody even heard that name but today the entire nation is saluting her. She happens to be the first Indian to win a gold medal in the World Junior Athletics Championship. Hima hails from the Kandhulimari village in the state of Assam.

Reports now reveal the Bollywood folks have decided to come up with a biopic on Hima right away looking at the sensation she has become. There is no doubt that the achievement by Hima is no mean feat but how viable will it be as a film is something unknown. Well, let us wait for the official announcement on this and see.
