It appears the expected seems to be happening. Since last year when the movie ‘2.0’ started getting postponed multiple times, a negative vibe started making rounds. Now, after doing a lot of reworking, the film has now hit the screens but the anticipated fear has turned out to be true. The pre-release promotions were completely stale.
As a result, the impact is being seen in the collections. According to the latest reports, there is a drastic downfall on day two collections. On an opening day, superb collections came and it touched around 110 crores worldwide while in India alone it garnered 85 crores. With this, many felt this movie would reach great heights.
But on the second day, many theatres recorded no housefull and producers have removed the film from the theatres because it would get a bad image that movie is not running housefull. To add to it, few exhibitors shut down their theatres because they didn’t have any other movie. ‘Bhairavageetha’ was to come but it got postponed by a week. Overall, this downfall is sounding like a death blow to ‘2.0’s collections and run.
