Popular realtor and businessman Bhavya Anand Prasad contested Telangana assembly elections from Serlingampally constituency. Many TDP leaders and film personalities expressed confidence and expected Anand Prasad to sail through easily as it is considered as the TDP bastion.

However, everyone got a huge shock when Bhavya Anand Prasad faced a crushing defeat at the hands of TRS candidate. Of late luck is not favouring Anand Prasad. Recently none of his films performed well at the box office. The defeat comes as a huge shock to Anand Prasad at a time when he has been incurring losses hitting a flop streak. Rumours have it that Anand Prasad spent money like water in the elections.

Some are heard commenting that ever since Bhavya Anand Prasad who incurred huge profits in businesses got the Serlingampally ticket, he spent huge amounts till the voting day. However, he lost in elections as an MLA, just like how he tasted defeats at the box office with his films. Just like his films which turned out to be flops despite being made with huge budgets, Anand Prasad lost elections as MLA though he invested huge amounts in politics.
