Young director Mahi V Raghav’s biopic on former CM of Andhra Pradesh, YSR (YS.Rajasekhar Reddy) titled Yatra attracted the attention of all when it was announced with much fanfare. However of late, nothing his head from the makers about the project.

This is surprising as earlier reports suggested that the makers are planning to release the film on Dec 21. Till now, the makers released the trailer and a song and then from on surprising all with their silence. At one side NTR biopic undertaken prestigiously by his son Balakrishna is racing ahead for the Sankranti release but YSR biopic is not making any sounds increasing confusion among movie lovers and fans of YSR. Yatra stars Malayalam superstar Mammootty in lead and already his look as YSR attracted everyone. 

The film features Jagapathy Babu as YSR’s father Raja Reddy, Suhasini as Sabita Indra Reddy and also stars Rao Ramesh, Anasuya and Posani Krishna Murali in important roles. Many expected the film to release during Dec and give enough political mileage to YSR’s son YS. Jagan and his political party YSRCP. Yatra highlights YSR’s popularity and the famous padayatra which he undertook and which powered him to the post of Chief Minister in 2004.
