There have been many films which were made under the concept of multiple personality disorder. But Awe, which released in February this year left its audience really awestruck with this its concept. This film was lauded by even critics and even today, the minute you think of the movie, you will end up with a confused and exclamatory mark on your face. So that is why we are calling it the Critic Movie of the Year 2018.
Cast and performances:
Well, this film is a star-studded one. It has Kajal Aggarwal, Regina Cassandra, Nithya Menen, Eesha Rebba, Srinivas Avasarala, Priyadarshi, Murali Sharma and others in lead roles. Each actor has played different roles, which ended up being one. At the same time, everyone was perfect in their roles. The film also had voiceovers of Nani for a fish role and Ravi Teja for a bonsai tree. Everybody looked rocking with a lot of transformation and makeovers.
Prashanth Varma, a debutant has directed this film. It has created so much of impact, that it was even screened at many international festivals and was also used to by a psychology student in the USA to give a presentation on multiple personality disorder. This shows that Prashant, a young filmmaker of Tollywood has succeeded in what he wanted to be.
There are not too many songs in this film. The only one keeps running in the background but it is the background score that attracted many people and it was like a lifeline for the film. It was composed by Mark K Robin. The cinematography was Karthik Ghattemaneni and editing by Goutham Nerusu. The screenplay was also beautiful. The post-production work which was done was one of the most important aspects which made the film a big hit.
