Is it possible for Mammooty to not follow YSR footsteps while doing Yatra, in which he is being portrayed as YS Rajasekhar Reddy, ex-chief minister of Andhra Pradesh? But the actor said, he never thinks about YSR while doing his character.

‘I did what director (Mahi V Raghav) said and just I followed him’ Mamooty said in an interview recently. Though the director did only two films, he has a complete vision about cinema, Mammootty showered appreciations on Mahi V Raghav. When asked about politics Mammoty cleared the air that he has no interest in it, but he as a citizen of India I am always with politics he answered wisely.

In the meantime, Mahi V Raghav said that Mammooty’s performance as YSR is phenomenal and everyone agrees with that after the film’s release. Yatra, a part of a biopic on YS Rajasekhar Reddy is scheduled for February 8th release. Jagapathi Babu and Anasuya are portraying other leading characters.
