Mohanlal is not just the superstar of Malayalam cinema, but entire South India. His latest movie 'Lucifer' has turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters in Kerala. The political drama which ran into cinemas on March 28, is running to Housefull theatres since its release.

The Mohanlal starrer has broken several existing records to set new ones. As per trade analysts, Lucifer also broke the record set by Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Baahubali 2' at Kerala box office. In just 4 days of its release, the film made a gross of Rs 50 Crore at the box-office worldwide. Lucifer is the first Malayalam movie to achieve that feat. By amassing a gross of Rs 30 Crores in 6 days, the movie broke the record of Baahubali-2, which collected the same amount in 7 days.

In 6 days, Lucifer has made a worldwide gross of Rs 70 Crores. Noted Malayalam hero Prithviraj has directed the film, which has Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Manju Warrior in prominent roles.
