Speaking of the great epic Mahabharatha our best source of knowledge on it happens to be the mega serial which came many decades ago. During the 80s the legendary B R Chopra came up with the serial ‘Mahabharat’ which became a huge sensation. Some of the stars who were part of it are still busy doing films.
Now, there are reports that the same epic is going to be presented on stage and that too in our city of Hyderabad. And interestingly, few artistes belong to that mega serial. According to sources, Puneet Issar who did the role of Duryodhana, Gufi Paintal who did the role of Shakuni and few new artistes would be part of this stage play.
All this is going to take place on December 15th and this big drama would be staged at the prestigious Shilpakala Vedhika. The ticket cost is ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 20000 and they are getting sold like hotcakes. Buzz is that many middle-aged folks are keen to witness this play as they want to experience a ride of nostalgia watching these artistes.
