Now that the makers of Rajamouli's RRR have announced that the film will walk into cinemas for Sankranthi-2021, the industry is discussing if it would affect other Pongal releases. Some of the big films that are supposed to come for next Pongal are now looking for fresh release dates.

It looks like Rajamouli's RRR has also impacted the release of Chiranjeevi-Koratala Siva's movie. Titled as 'Acharya', the commercial film was initially planned for Sankranthi-2021 release. But, they are now looking for another release date. Chiranjeevi starer is more likely to come in Summer-2021.

Even though makers want it to release prior to Sankranthi season, November or December, some portion of shooting and post-production would still be pending. So, it apparently shifted to Summer.
