On Monday afternoon, rumors have spread out that an unidentified man phoned 'Raahu' actress Kriti Gang in the name of Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga to offer a movie chance opposite Prabhas. The speculation also carried that Kriti was called to Mumbai for story narration. After failing to reach her over mobile, Raahu director Subbu Vedula lodged a missing complaint at Panja Gutta Police Station on Monday.

As the speculations went rife, the actress took to her social media page and trashed them as false rumors. Kriti took to her Twitter saying "Hi Everyone! I just wanna inform everyone that I'm perfectly safe here in Mumbai. My director couldn't reach me because I was traveling so he got really worried and went to the police because last night only, there was an imposter situation which the police, now, has under control."

She further added, "I request the media to not put out the wrong news. I was supposed to travel today to Mumbai, where I live, after finishing the promotions for my movie Raahu.
I came home today. It has nothing to do with any movie project or anything else." Raahu, a crime thriller, depicts Kriti in a role who suffers from hysterical blindness where she goes temporarily blind under severe stress.
