The release of RRR has been postponed from July 30, 2020, to January 8, 2021. This has happened because of the delay in the shoot and the schedules. Till now, actress Alia Bhatt has not joined the sets of the film itself. On March 15th, which was Alia Bhatt’s birthday, the makers Tweeted, “Here's wishing the best to a phenomenal actor and charming personality! Happy birthday @aliaa08... We can't wait for you to join us! #HappyBirthdayAliaBhatt #RRRMovie.” (sic)
This has made it clear that the actress has not given any of her dates of the makers yet and has been causing much delay for the film.
Alia has been completely packed with films like Sanjay Dutt starrer Sadak 2, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi and Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahm?stra. In between this, Rajamouli is in touch with the manager of the actress to fetch in her dates for the film.
On the other hand, rumors suggest that the actress is in plans of quitting the project as she is not available to make dates for the film.
