Bollywood Romantic King Rishi Kapoor has secured a special space in the hearts of film audiences. After battling cancer for the last two years, he breathed his last on Thursday morning. The doctors & medical staff at the hospital said the actor has kept them entertained until the final moment.

In an official statement from the Rishi Kapoor family, they said "He was always grateful for the love of his fans from all over the world. Family, Friends, food, and films remained his focus and everyone who met him during this time was amazed at how he let his illness get the better of him."

Even in his final days on the hospital bed, the legendary actor used to eat all his favorite dishes and he never stopped enquiring about new movies. After learning about his cancer, Rishi and his wife Neetu Kapoor moved to the US for better treatment. The couple spent a great time there and met friends and family members too.

Considering the restrictions across the country, the family of Rishi urged fans and well-written to respect the laws that are in force. And they made an appeal to remember him smile and not with tears.
