The corona lockdown has completely disturbed the planning of film industry and release dates of several films which are in the making have been changed. Only after the shootings resume, makers will be able to plan fresh release dates. So, there is a lot more time to it. Rajamouli's RRR was scheduled for release on January 8th. But, after this lockdown, it may not come as per schedule. According to insiders, RRR may stride into cinemas in summer-2021.

So, Baahubali Prabhas has now targeted 8th January to release his next. The Pan India star is working for a film tentatively titled as 'Jaan' since 2018. Due to various reasons, the shooting of the film has been getting delayed continuously. Earlier, the makers- UV Creations- have planned for Dussehra release. But, it looks impossible now.

So, now that RRR is not coming on Sankranthi, Prabhas wants to make use of January 8th for his movie. We have seen how Pongal season has helped two big films 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo' & 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' to emerge as blockbusters. The festive season attract large crowds to cinemas and so, Prabhas wants to make the best use of it.
