Celebrities Heartbroken With The Elephant's Death In Kerala

In Kerala, when a wild elephant walked down to the streets for food, some local allegedly gave her crackers stuffed pine-apples. When she consumed it, the crackers blasted in her mouth and she was even carrying her baby in her womb. This death incident of the elephant has created a lot of unrest. Many celebrities have opened up on the same.


"I am appalled and heartbroken with what happened to the elephant in Kerela. I hope we come up with a strict laws for animal protection." tweeted Tamannah Bhatia on her Twitter profile.


Filmmaker Pooja Bhat posted, "We worship Lord Ganesha and kill and abuse elephants. We worship Lord Hanuman & get pleasure out of watching monkeys being chained & performing degrading tricks. We worship and revere female goddesses and resent strength in women,abuse,maim them & practise female infanticide." and Rakul Preet Singh agreed to the same.


Sonu Sood posted the picture of an elephant and wrote, "And.. humanity dies!"


Puri Jagannath quoted the picture and wrote, "To protect from one human to another human, humans invented a weapon called the word HUMANITY. Don’t believe in that. I hope these humans will extinct soon from this planet."


Anasuya wrote, "Surely. We are on the verge of doomsday. Humankind is the worst kind. We were taught wrong all our lives. Wild is divine. Civilization is demonization. This is so agonizing.. how could anyone do this.." She also shared another post where someone wrote, "There's a natural law of karma that vindictive people, who go out of their way to hurt others, will end up broke and alone.”


Actress Parvathy wrote, "Animals falling prey to cruel explosive snares is a practice that must stop! It’s a punishable offence! Crushed to hear what happened!! But those who are using this now to spin fresh hatemongering based on the district this happened in? SHAME ON YOU! Get a grip!!!" she posted.
