After Raanjhana, Dhanush teams up with the filmmaker Anand L Rai once again for the film Atrangi Re. Touted to be an interesting drama, the film also features Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. The film unit made the announcement of the project and started the shoot, before the lockdown. They halted the production and here is a new update on the movie.

The second schedule of Dhanush's Atrangi Re will commence from October in Madurai.  Following this, the team will continue shooting in Delhi and Mumbai where Akshay Kumar will join the team for a month. AR Rahman is the music composer for the movie. The film unit is busy with the pre-production for the second schedule now.

Most likely, the film hits the screens in the second half of the next year.
