The coronavirus pandemic has brought the film industry on a halt. As the situation is worse in Tamil Nadu, the government is yet to give permission for the resumption of film shoots in the state. Meanwhile, we hear that Superstar Rajinikanth decided not to resume the shoot of his upcoming film Annaatthe for the next six months.

Rajini is more than 65 years old. It is not advisable for him to shoot under these circumstances. Thus, his family members decided not to allow him in doing any film works for the next six months. Having no choice, Rajini informed Annaatthe makers that he will not be able to shoot the film anytime soon. We hear that the shoot may resume only after Pongal next year. Earlier, the makers planned to release the film during Pongal 2021. But it is not going to happen in these circumstances.

Annaatthe is being directed by Siva. Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Kushboo and Meena are playing the other key roles in it.
