The government of India has given clear directions to the theatre owners about reopening the theatres. In many states, the theatres are currently back to operations but in the Telugu states, the theatres still remain closed.

Interestingly, the Tamilnadu theatres will be screening the Tamil dubbed version of Sarileru Neekevvaru in the theatres. A few more Telugu films are also in the pipeline for the screening in the theatres.

At the same time, some theatres in Bangalore are in plans to screen Nithiin's Bheeshma, Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and a few other Telugu super hit films that released this year. With these movies, the theatre owners aim to grab decent foot-falls. We have to see if these movies will bring back the hungama at the theatres amidst the new normal.
