Muthiah Muralidharan is a former Srilankan cricketer who is currently working as an associate coach for Sun Risers Hyderabad in Dream 11 Indian Premier League. Titled 800, an interesting project on his life was announced. Muralidharan's biopic announcement came out recently but a huge controversy popped up around the movie. Many Tamilians including the Tamil filmmakers requested Vijay Setupathi not to do the movie.

Muralidharan recently gave a statement that he did not expect this backlash from the Tamil community. Muralidharan hoped that his story will be an inspiration for the aspiring cricketers. However, with these latest developments, Muralidharan has requested Vijay Setupathi to opt-out of the project as it could turn a major hurdle for the actor's career.

Today, Vijay Setupathi officially announced that he is opting out of this prestigious film and commented the same on his social media profile.
