Ever since the lockdown is implemented in India due to outbreak of COVID-19, the shootings of several films were paused and there're no updates about star hero films. Early today, an update about Young Rebel Star Prabhas' next film Adipurush has come out. The makers have declared that Adipurush would stride into cinemas on 11th August, 2022. To be directed by Om Raut, the film will have Saif Ali Khan as antagonist and principal shooting is expected to kickstart from January, 2021.

With rich visuals and large amount of VFX work, Adipurush is planned on a massive budget of Rs 450 Cr. To ensure that movie meets its 2022 release date, Prabhas has reportedly allotted bulk dates, i.e from January to July 2021. Only after that, Prabhas is likely to join the shoot of Nag Ashwin's film.

The makers will need another 6-7 months for the post production work and there is still no clarity on who will play Sita role in Adipurush. If everything goes according to plan, we will get to know about the leading lady's name by end of this year.
