Ratnakumar who worked as a writer for the film revealed that the makers put Nani as an option for Vijay Setupathi's role. They were initially confused if Vijay Setupathi would do the film. They wanted to approach Nani if Vijay Setupathi declines the project for whatsoever reason. Luckily, Vijay Setupathi agreed to do the film.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie is releasing for Sankranthi. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director and the film will have a release in Telugu and Hindi languages as well.
