Thanks to the lockdown, the demand for the OTT platforms took a surge. Even though the theatres got reopened, a section of the audience still wants to continue watching films on digital platforms. On this note, most of the films are getting released on OTT platforms within a month of the theatrical release. Interestingly, Allu Arvind's OTT Aha Video has been implementing a strategy to give enough time to the theatrical release of new movies.

They did the same with Ravi Teja's Krack. However, it is not the case with 'Gaali Sampath' as the film got released the last week and now will be releasing on March 19th on Aha. Even the 'Chaavu Kaburu Challaga' movie which is going to get released this weekend is also likely to hit the Aha platform but after completing the theatrical run. Other films like Akshara, Ad Infinitum made their way to digital platforms in a week's time.

This has been shocking as the distributors will have to face huge losses if the movie doesn't stay longer in the theatres. If the film gets released on OTT platforms, then the theatrical collections will hit the rock bottom. Some are even commenting that it is even more convenient for movies to get directly released on the OTT platforms.
