Our country is clearly witnessing the second wave of corona virus. The cases are increasing rapidly in most of the states and the central government is asking the people to stay safe by maintaining social distancing and wearing a mask.

Even the Telugu states have witnessed a spike in the cases of the coronavirus. Already, the government of Telangana has announced the other day that the educational institutions across the state, barring the medical institutes, will be closed. Apparently, the Health Department is monitoring the reasons for the virus spread and has already given a report to the state government. According to that report, the Health Department has requested the government to shut down the theatres.

Apparently, theatres may remain the major source of spreading the virus. Recently, we have seen many films doing well and people flocking in the theatres without wearing masks. If this trend continues, we may have to witness more cases in the coming days. Thus, the Health Department requested the government to close the theatres. If that is not possible, they asked the government to reduce the occupancy to 50% or less.

However, the cinematography minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav ruled out the option. "We are not going to shutdown the movie theaters in the state. No proposal for restrictions on occupancy either." he revealed.
