The Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections might not happen this year, say the reports. As per the latest media reports, the current President will continue in his role for few more years. Usually, the elections of MAA take place once in two years. This time, the elections were supposed to happen in March but were postponed because of the pandemic.

When Prakash Raj wrote a letter to MAA President, asking the same, he responded that the elections will take place in September. But now, we hear that the elections might not take place as the association's legal advisor claimed that a working board can be elected for a maximum period of 6 years.

The new board will be formed only after the polls but the current discussions are revealing that the polls might not take place. Prakash Raj took to his Twitter profile yesterday, asking the same. He shared a tweet, asking when would the elections will be commencing.

As of now, there is no confirmation on the polls and we have to see if the current board makes a statement over the same.
