Director Shankar has been landing in various controversies in the recent past. When he is relieved from the troubles of his stalled project Indian 2, he is now trapped in trouble for his upcoming film with Ram Charan.

According to Kollywood sources, two plagiarism cases have been filed against this movie in South Indian Film Writers Association (SIFWA). An aspiring filmmaker and a production executive, Chinnasamy filed a plagiarism complaint in SIFWA stating that Shankar and director Karthik Subbaraj have stolen his film.

Karthik Subbaraj has worked with Shankar on the script of this project. Chinnasamy further added that he narrated the script to Vijay already but it failed to materialize.

Apparently, SIFWA is currently investigating the complaint and scrutinizing both scripts.

On the other hand, a former associate of Karthik Subbaraj named Sellamuthu also lodged a complaint stating that the former lifted his script while working with Shankar.

The verdict on both the complaints is expected to come within a few days. Tentatively called #RC15, this project is being bankrolled by Dil Raju.
