Actor Rajashekhar's family has gloomed with sadness during the Diwali festival as his father passed away last evening in Hyderabad. The actor's father, Varadarajan Gopal, has breathed his last while undergoing treatment at City Neuro Center Hospital. It is reported that the 93-year-old was suffering from age-related health issues for the last few months.

Varadarajan was a retired DCP who worked in Chennai. His body will be moved to Chennai tonight and the final rites will be held tomorrow. Rajashekhar's wife Jeevitha Rajashekhar released a press statement about Varadarajan's last rites. "People wishing to pay their last respects can do so after 4 PM today (Friday) at his residence in Anna Nagar, Chennai.

His funeral is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) after 12 PM. The time is yet to be decided," she mentioned in the press statement. Various celebrities from the film industry and fans are paying their condolences to Rajashekhar and his family members.
