Samantha's next film is Shakuntalam and the fans are eagerly waiting for the film's release. Ever since Samantha signed this project, there is a positive buzz around the film. Gunasekhar is the film's director and the film's producer Neelima Guna recently confirmed that the film's updates will arrive only in the next year.

In a recent interaction with fans on Twitter, Neelima confirmed that the team decided to drop all the updates about the film in the next year.

"Not sure. We need to strategise things and then decide, also lots of work being done towards it. But early next year for sure. We are working on that as of now. But we’ve consciously decided to do all sorts of reveals early next year only," revealed Neelima Gunaa.

The film also features Dev Mohan, Aditi Balan, Mohan Babu and others.
