We have been hearing rumors that none other than superstar Rajinikanth is all set to join hands with director Nelson Dilipkumar for his upcoming film which is tentatively titled as #Thalaivar169.

Sun Pictures is on board to bankroll this project whereas music sensation Anirudh Ravichander is all set to compose tunes for this film. An interesting update about the film is currently doing the rounds on the internet.

According to the latest buzz, the makers have approached Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bacchan to play the female lead opposite Rajnikanth in the movie. On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently busy with her upcoming film 'Ponniyin Selvan' under the direction of Mani Ratnam which features stars like Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Prabhu, Jayaram, etc. So, we have to wait and see if she will give her nod to romance Rajinikanth in the film or not.

If Aishwarya Rai gives a green signal, this would become the second outing of her with Rajnikanth as the duo have already shared the screen space with Shankar's blockbuster film 'Robo'.
