For the last few years, it is being heavily rumoured that Thalapathy Vijay is planning to make an entry into politics soon.

However, neither the actor nor his acquaintances have responded to the news all these days. Finally, Vijay himself gave clarity on these reports.

Vijay recently gave an interview on Sun TV which was hosted by director Nelson. In the interview, Vijay was asked whether he has any plans of getting into politics soon. Nelson asked, "You started off your career as Ilayathalapathy and now became a Thalapathy. Do you have any plans of becoming Thalaivan?"

Responding to the question, Vijay said that all these titles are given by his fans and his future plans also depend on the circumstances as well as expectations from his fans.
