Actress Meena who is very popular in South-India for many of her super-hit movies in the 90's, married Bengaluru-based businessman Vidyasagar in 2009. The couple has a child named Nainika, who made her acting debut with Vijay's Theri.

In a shocking development, Meena's husband Vidyasagar passed away on Yesterday (June 28) evening at a private hospital in Tamil Nadu's Chennai.

He was just 48 years old but wasn't keeping well ever since he got infected by Covid-19 in March of this year. It is said that Vidyasagar suffered lung-related ailments that were made worse by a recent Covid-19 infection.

His cremation will take place today (June 29) at 2 pm in Besant Nagar, Chennai.

Meanwhile, celebrities and fans of Meena have expressed their condolences. "It is shocking to hear the news of the untimely demise of Actor Meena's husband Vidyasagar," actor Sarath Kumar tweeted in his social media account.
