Vijayendra Prasad Gets Nominated For Rajya Sabha

KV Vijayendra Prasad, the popular screenwriter, and director of Tollywood got nominated to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

 

Vijayendra Prasad, the father of the Tollywood super-hit maker Rajamouli is known for his works primarily in Telugu cinema. He has given stories to many super-hit films in various languages.

 

Continuing his charm in Politics as well, the eighty-year-old Vijayendra Prasad now has been named as one of the Presidential nominees to the Rajya Sabha.

 

This Bahubali writer is among the four nominees to the Rajya Sabha announced from south India. The other two noted people in the nominations are renowned film composer Ilaiyaraaja and legendary athlete PT Usha.

 

Reacting to this, even Prime Minister Modi took to his Twitter and wrote "Shri V. Vijayendra Prasad Garu has been associated with the creative world for decades. His works showcase India's glorious culture and have made a mark globally. Congratulations to him for being nominated to the Rajya Sabha".

 

Born in Kovvur village in Andhra Pradesh state, Vijayendra Prasad has written stories for many 1990s super hit films, including Samarasimha Reddy, Janaki Ramudu, and Gharana Bullodu.
