After 'Venky Mama', Venkatesh haven't done any full-fledged roles or a direct Telugu film. Even 'F3', which seems to be heavily based on the image & comedy timing of Venkatesh, has failed to entertain. All he did was 'Asuran' & 'Drishyam 2' remakes, which also were direct OTT releases.

It was said that Venky was open to acting with younger filmmakers but they failed to materialise.

First, it was Tharun Bhascker, now it's Anudeep. It is reported that post the success of 'Jaathi Ratnaalu', Anudeep was given a chance to narrate his idea to Venky. Although Venky was impressed, he put his decision on the success of his second, 'Prince'.

Unfortunately, the film turned out to be a disaster in both languages and Venky had to say no. Anudeep is now waiting to reach Ram Pothineni.
