Though Power star Pawan Kalyan acted in almost more than 25 films, Kushi has a very special place in his fan's heart. It was his 7th film that turned him as a Power star in the industry by scoring industry hit. The film became such a big hit that the movie increased his craze and fan following among the youth.

Kushi is an adaptation of the official Tamil movie of the same name in which Vijay Thalapathy and Jyothika starred in the original version. Both the Telugu and Tamil films were written and directed by SJ Suryah.

After so many years of its theatrical release, makers have planned to re-release it. Earlier, it is said that the film will hit the theaters on April 27, 2023 which is the actual date of the movie’s release in 2001. But as per the latest reports, the release was preponed and the new date is set for December 31 of this year 2022. This romantic entertainer was produced by AM Ratnam under the banner of Sri Surya Movies. Bhumika played the lead actress role in the film.
